InkworksPrint was founded in 2017 by **Eleni Vasiliadi** and **Stratos Markou** above a former tailor's shop on Iktinou Street in Thessaloniki's Ladadika district. Eleni had spent nine years as a graphic designer at a stationery house in Munich, where she fell in love with hot-foil presses but grew tired of pieces that nobody could afford to actually use. Stratos had trained as a furniture maker in his uncle's workshop in Drama before moving into laser engraving for an industrial signage firm. They met at a wedding in 2015 — Eleni was the bride, Stratos the friend who had carved the rings' wooden box — and on the honeymoon they sketched the business on the back of a ferry ticket. The first InkworksPrint piece was a set of fifty hand-pressed wedding invitations for Eleni's cousin, paid
